Michigan OSU Re-Match - Priceless (November 13,2006)

From the MMQ's brother who loves his own scenarios and loves to see the Domers (jeez Ihate these guys) humiliated....It was so much fun thinking about this stuff in 2006.....

MMQ,

This is the way I see it......

Rematch possibilities very high, but with who?

It is very possible that after all the regular season games and
conference title games are over, that three teams who Michigan has given
their only loss will be in the top 5.

Current number 3 - USC has many stumbling blocks and could easily lose
at least one more.
Current number 4 - Florida has a very tough road as well, SEC title game
and all, they will end up with two L's.
Current number 6 - Rutgers, yeh whatever. They will be smoked by WVU.
Current number 7 - Arkansas has a very tough road with many
opportunities to slip up again, could easily end with another loss.
Current number 8 - West Virginia has to play Pitt and the mighty
Rutgers. They should handle Rutgers BUT since they lost to Louisville
who lost to Rutgers the are automatically disqualified from playing in a
national title game. This is a little known BCS rule called the
"Rutgers Rule" which states "If you lose to Rutgers or any team beat by
Rutgers in the same season you are disqualified from playing in the
national title game."
Current number 10 - Louisville - Sorry, "Rutgers Rule", see above.

Current Number 9 - Wisconsin will win out unless they perform the
ultimate choke against Buffalo. With their only loss to an undefeated
Michigan should give them enough cred to make the to top five after
those mentioned above fall.

Current number 5 - ND given the fact that these guys have been living on
luck and prayers this season, I expect it to continue and they could end
up with their only loss to an undefeated Michigan.

Current Number 1 - OSU who should not drop too far after loosing
Saturday since their only loss would be to the new number one team in
the land.

So, it is easy to see that the top five will have three teams that have
only lost to Michigan. So the odd are very high that a rematch will be
staged. The media would love hyping a rematch but who will it be?

Wisconsin - Nope, although they travel well they are not a big enough TV
draw, sorry.
OSU - This would be very interesting but since they would be Michigan's
most recent victim they will not be chosen.
This leaves ND - Media darlings that they are, they will be given a
second chance. The public out cry, purely created by the media, to give
the Domers a shot will be too much for the voters to ignore. The two
winningest programs in the land going head to head again in the National
Title Game.

And I ask you, MMQ, what would be better than going undefeated, winning
a national title and spanking the Domers twice in one season?

That my friend would be priceless.
