What a shake-up in the BCS after Saturday's "Post-Halloween
Pre-Thanksgiving Day" Massacre.....4 of last weeks top 10 teams are now
out of any discussion for National Title and hanging on by a thread to
their BCS opportunity in addition to Florida winning ugly and imploding
on themselves each week....GATORLAND FAN - Your team continues to look
worse - I hope they can win out, but right now I would say that there is
an inevitable disaster waiting out there for your
somewhere........Texas, Cal, Louisville, and Auburn all tanked on
Saturday (or Thursday night - Louisville). The reason I put the BCS
ranking up there is key to the rest of this week's review....

Any fan of college football knows that the third Saturday in November
holds special meaning for people of Michigan and Ohio. Rarely has the
game not fallen on that Saturday. And Baby, IT'S HERE!

This is what we have all been waiting for. The long off season for
Michigan fans, especially after going a putrid 7-5, was painful. And we
didn't know what kind of team to expect this year, with all the same
players coming back.....But folks, that's what they mean when they talk
about tradition, pride, heart, souls of champions, and people who
refused to be labeled as losers.....This team took that feeling and let
it propel them into machine that has made it to 11-0, rivaled only by
their arch nemisis, those south of the border Suckeyes, that have proven
to be more formidable lately with the absence of the much loved John
Cooper, being replaced by the Sweater Vested Troll......er,
Tressel....who is a respectable 4-1 vs. the Amaizing Blue.....Time to
change History my Friend.......

So after Michigan upsets the Suckeyes in the SnakePIt, who will they
play???? That becomes the most interesting question of this Football
season....And Special Thanks go out to those Sparties for screwing up
and letting the Domers escape East Lansing with a W.....I will
explain...with the use of scenarios...

1. Michigan Beats OSU - by virtue of OSU being number 1 going into the
game, I don't think the voters drop them below any one loss team....but
if they do, and let's say the voter's want to punish them, they rank
them at 5
- ahead of Rutgers but behind USC and ND....Well, those two play each
other so one has to lose sending OSU up one notch....But and if you are
thinking like a voter, there is a risk that the Domers beat USC and you
are stuck with a Michigan Domer Rematch - who wants that? Nobody - not
after the way the Domers were manhandled by the Blue.....So, by virtue
of the Domer's blow out loss, the "natural" floor for OSU to drop is to
#4 - Behind Florida and ahead of the Domers. 2. Michigan loses to OSU -
Using the same logic as above, Michigan's "natural" floor has to be the
Domers. There is no way a voting fan is going to put the Domers ahead
of Michigan, remembering the 47-21 BLOWOUT AT HOME of the Domers by the
Amaizing Blue.....And also - no one wants a rematch of last year's OSU
blowout of the Domer's in the Fiesta Bowl..... 3. Here is where it gets
interesting....Can Florida win out? I am not sure, especially after
watching them this weekend....They looked ugly, snapping the ball and
hitting the Man in motion on one play.... I am also not sure that
Arkansas can win out - they have LSU and the SEC Championship left on
the schedule.....So, move the UM-OSU loser up one notch.... 4. Can USC
win out? They still have Cal and the Domers on the schedule, not to
mention a little in city rival named UCLA - that had the Domer's by the
shorthairs - AGAIN ON THEIR HOME FIELD - in October. UCLA will give USC
a run for their money, if USC hasn't lost yet..... 5. Forget
Rutgers.....New kids to the Dance can't play in the National Title
Game......

So, you ask, "MR. MMQ, WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?" It means this:

Even if you don't like it, the scenarios are looking more and more like
we are going to have a Michigan-OSU rematch for the National Title
Game.....I don't like making predictions (Okay, that's not true, I
actually love looking at this stuff) but that's what's going to
happen.....

P.S.

Sparty, u Suck.....
CORNSUCKERS - Congrats on the upset victory of A&M....But Texas losing
will take some of the luster off that Big 12 Title Game victory.....
CHEESEHEADS - Hmmmmm, I suppose if you scheduled a more difficult
non-conference schedule and didn't avoid OSU, someone would be talking
about you......
