Okay - first the Good News!
Women's Softball moves on the the College Softball World Series! Big Deal and Bigger Congrats after upending a pesky Rajin' Cajun team from Louisiana....However, they will face incredibly tough tests from the Oklahoma Sooners and Gatorland is a formidable opponent as well. But if you've seen Michigan play this year...Well, there's no quit in those girls! They can win on defense and offense! But ultimately, opening up with the chalk favorite Sooners on Thursday night (ESPN2) and then having to face either Texas or ASU (who they beat earlier in the season) in the 2nd round may just be too tough for these Wolverines....
Even BETTER NEWS!
Michigan snags the #1 Corner Back Recruit Jabrill Peppers in the 2014 Class! While you know I DON'T NORMALLY FOLLOW ANY RECRUITING regarding these highly regarded players, I couldn't help but get caught up in a little bit of the frenzy on this one.....This kid is good (Go to mgoblog.com for highlights or youtube.com for some of his amazing plays) and he is clearly a leader and is going to bring excitement into this entire recruting class. Now, I always say, you can bring a pedigree with you, but it doesn't mean crap until you do something in the Big House. Nevertheless, it's a big time get for Hoke and company!
Domer Misery News
....Some of you may consider this even better news than the news above...But of course your MMQ would NEVER think that...nooooooope - nope - nope - nope.....Well, Maybe!
Weis made more in 2011-12 that Brian Kelly! That is the one of the best (and funniest) headlines I've seen all year.
Gholston caught cheating and "expelled" for the 2013 academic year! This one is a little harder for me to believe and until we know what exactly happened, you're NOT going to convince me that this was his first problem with the Academic Law in Domerland. Not to mention all the creative ways I've seen cheating characterized as "Poor Academic Judgement". That's cheating, right? And the reason I don;'t think it was his first time is due to the fact that 3 beer Floydd somehow managed to get a second and third chance to come back with all the problems he had...And not to mention Tommy "Kung Fu" Rees and his run ins with the law and alcohol.....So, this smells fishy and methinks there was a lot more that happened and there was a straw that broke the camel's back.....

2014 Is Out....Oh No....Its Worse Than We Feared...
Well, its out. The 2014 Home Schedule has posted. And frankly, it's a little sickening. But before I get to commenting, here's what it looks like....
So, what, loyal fans, jumps out at you immediately? Yes, for those of you that have attended Michigan football for any amount of time will recognize that BOTH MSU and the SUCKEYES are ON THE ROAD IN THE SAME YEAR!!!! That hasn't happened since 1966 and wasn't ever supposed to happen again, or so I thought....So, while the flip side of this will be nice if not down right awesome (in other words, ODD YEARS in the Big House will command a PREMIUM on tickets!), the even years pretty much want to make you gouge your eys out. In fact, I'm glad we have two bye weeks so I can stay home and watch something worthwhile....
Speaking of which, how is it that we somehow managed to alternate the newbiews (Rutgers and Maryland) and got stuck with the Suckeyes and Sparty on the road? Somebody wasn't thinking, plain and simple. And then there's the Natural Disaster Part II with App State on the schedule. Sure, let's open a can of wupass on them...That'll REALLY suck if they somehow figure out another way to win...That's a no win game right there....Not to mention the MAC sacrifice. Miami just ain't what it used to be....
The Utes also suck and that leaves PSU with a roster diminished due to NCAA sanctions and, um, yeah.....One set of season tickets for sale...Face Value (If I can get it..)
And please plan to pay my $150 PSL for the option to purchase those two tickets, also. That'd be great.
Any buyers? Anyone?
Just respond to the Ole MMQ and they're yours for face value plus the PSL.
I'm serious......

Completely Non-Michigan Football or Sports Related....
I must admit that I felt like I was going to fall into my Computer Screen when I did a full view on this...I'm usually not bothered by heights, but this will make you a little woozy....

Michigan B1G SOFTBALL REGULAR SEASON CHAMPS!
Once again, the Michigan Women's Softball Team has finished the regular season as the B1G Champions!
From mgoblog:
Sierra Romero was both the freshman and player of the year, Carol Hutchins coach of the year, etc. Here is Romero's Big Ten slugging percentage.
1.125!!! Also her on-base percentage was .659. That is nuts.
No Wolverines made the All-Defensive Team, probably because they didn't have to dodge missiles from Romero.
B1G Softball Tournament this weekend in Iowa and all over the BTN in coverage. If you want to see some great action, tune in to a Women's Softball Game! You won't be disappointed.
Here's a link to the clinching game summary:

And the photo of the Tropy to the Champs!
